Actors will be informed if they have a callback via email on the date of their audition no later then 11:00 PM. Callback materials, such as dance call videos and sides, will be available by (Monday, April 14) at www.artsgp.org/auditions

- Appointments will be given priority, and walk-ins will be taken as time allows.
- Audition Form
- Please prepare 32 bars (approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute) of a musical theater song in the style of the show.
- You may audition with a song from the show. A pianist and Bluetooth speaker will be provided.
- Please bring music in the correct key with cuts clearly marked and no tracks with backing / guided vocals or a cappella auditions.
- If your selection exceeds the time limit, the production team may cut you off due to time constraints.
- Be prepared to read from the script, sides will be provided.
- Dancing will be done at the callbacks on April 19, by invitation only,
- If you have any skills like tumbling, please be prepared to showcase these abilities at the dance call.
- Please bring character and tap shoes if you have them.
Rehearsals
- Begin April 21, with a mandatory cast meeting.
- Generally run Mondays - Thursdays, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and on Saturdays during the day.
- Some rehearsals may be scheduled on Fridays and Sundays as needed.
- A tentative calendar will be available at auditions.
- Please be sure to list all conflicts on your audition form, including days we do not specify we have rehearsals.
- Rehearsals are at GPAC's rehearsal space at the Veteran's Park Event Center and move to the Uptown Theater two weeks before the show opens.

Available Roles
We are seeking a diverse cast of Older Teens (16+) and Adults to bring this epic musical to life. We invite performers of all ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, body types, and abilities to audition, as we would like our cast to reflect the community we serve.
Percy Jackson
Tenor, with a strong high note around G#4/Ab4
A seemingly ordinary teenager with dyslexia and ADHD, who discovers he is the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea. He is brave, loyal, and often impulsive, relying on his newfound powers to fight monsters and navigate the dangerous world of Greek mythology.
Annabeth Chase
Soprano, with a comfortable belt and high notes reaching F#5/G♭5
A clever and resourceful daughter of Athena, the goddess of wisdom. She is highly skilled in planning and combat strategy, often providing crucial insights during the quest.
Grover Underwood / Mr. D
Tenor, with a more relaxed range around E3 to G4
Grover Underwood - A young satyr, half-goat and half-human, who is clumsy but fiercely loyal to Percy. He has a strong connection to nature and is often searching for the mythical "Pan".
Mr. D - The god of wine, forced to serve as the camp director at Camp Half-Blood, often displaying a sarcastic and grumpy demeanor.
Luke Castellan / Gabe Ugliano / James Brown/ DJ Cerberus
Baritone/Tenor
Luke Castellan - A charming and skilled swordsman, initially presented as a trusted counselor at Camp Half-Blood, but later revealed to be the true villain behind the stolen lightning bolt, motivated by resentment towards the gods.
Gabe - is Percy’s stepfather. Percy calls him Smelly Gabe because he reeks, in addition to being crass, cruel, and ugly. Though Gabe works as a manager for an appliance shop, he never goes to work and instead stays home and plays poker all day.
Ares / The Minotaur / Mozart
Baritone/Tenor
Ares - The god of war and father to Clarisse. Ares is a larger-than-life biker, with a leather jacket, loud motorcycle, and dark sunglasses. When he removes his sunglasses, his eyes are infernos. He is menacing, intimidating, and frightening. He naturally emanates power and danger. He is arrogant, strong, clever, and skilled at deception.
Sally Jackson / The Oracle / Charon
Mezzo-Soprano
Sally Jackson - Percy's human mother, who is a strong and compassionate mother to Percy, despite the hardships she faces. She has been protecting him from the dangers of his godly heritage. She once aspired to be a novelist but put that dream on hold. She takes night classes to complete her high school degree and works odd jobs while raising Percy on her own.
Silena Beauregard / Echidna / Greyhound Passenger 1
Silena - Daughter of Aphrodite.
Mr. Brunner (Chiron) / Hades / Aunty Em / Kronos / Train Conductor
Tenor / Baritone / Bass
Chiron - A wise centaur who acts as the camp director at Camp Half-Blood, training demigods and guiding Percy on his quest.
Hades - The god of the Underworld and one of the Big Three gods. He is greedy, heartless, and deceitful. He is flamboant tall and exudes drama and power. He is a match up of a drag queen and a night club or casino owner. Very flashy with a dark sense of humor.
Aunty Em / Medusa - A monster initially disguised as a friendly Middle Eastern woman. Athena punished Aunty Em by transforming her into a hideous monster. Medusa turns victims to stone when they look her in the eye.
Kronos - A titan who ate his children because he did not trust them. The gods won a big fight against Kronos by slicing him into pieces with his own scythe and scattering his remains in Tartarus, the darkest part of the Underworld.
Poseidon / Kurt Cobain / Greyhound Passenger 2 / Farmer
Tenor / Baritone / Bass
Poseidon - The god of the sea and one of the Big Three gods. Percy’s biological father. He is chill and has a cool demeanor, laid back. He looks like a tanned fisherman in Bermuda shorts and a patterned Hawaiian shirt. Very Margaritaville with a low booming commanding voice.
Clarisse / Mrs. Dodds / Katie Gardner / Newscaster
Mezzo-Soprano / Soprano (with a strong rock belt)
Mrs.Dodds - A mean and tough math teacher(sub) who has it out for Percy. She transforms into a monster called a Fury and attacks Percy.
Kate - Daughter of Demeter.
Thalia / Bianca / Janis Joplin / Squirrel
Mezzo-Soprano / Soprano / Alto
Thalia - A courageous and selfless young girl who was the daughter of Zeus. Hades tormented her by releasing a monster from Tartarus. She is remembered at Half-Blood Hill because her spirit remains there in a tree.
Bianca - A mysterious girl in 1930’s clothes.
